I was up and out of bed a little alter this morning – at twenty past four.
Shame, poor Ken had a terrible night last night with tummy cramps and not feeling that crash hot. He had no idea what caused that but thankfully he was feeling better this morning.
I had my normal Quiet Time and then I did a serious study on the Letter to Titus and only got as far as the introduction! I made notes for our next Bible Study Group – which will probably be after the Easter holidays now.
We had 18mm of rain over night, so more sogginess coming up! The river is still up but hopefully it will soon be going down again. I need it to as we have a lot of appointments coming up next week that we need to get to.
I continued sorting the kitchen out today and I think tomorrow I need to tackle all the fridges and deep freeze to get things in order.
I will see if Ken is up to it when he gets up later, to see if we can move the large pine table that he mended the other day. That would mean I could get that table and the eight chairs out of the way which would be a huge help to me. I am not holding my breath over this happening as if Ken is not feeling well, we can do it another day.
Yahee! I ordered some South African food stuffs online today – some Provita Biscuits, Bovril, Aromat and Mrs Balls Chutney. I cannot wait for that to arrive now!
I also went online to see if I could find a stretch armchair cover. The one cream armchair that I have kept is looking a little tatty, and I want to give it a good scrub and then cover it with a nice new cover to go into the possibly new bedroom for us.
Today I vacuumed the armchair and will have to wait to wash it as it is still overcast and threatening to rain all the time. It will be good for the sun to shine again soon so I can get things dried.
I really cannot wait to get into the two large wooden boxes that are still outside, but I need a space to be able to do that, and Ken has to use the tractor to lift them as they are incredibly heavy. A little more patience needed Gail Morgan.
I did some laminating of notes and games for the kids at school this afternoon, which was good as I have been meaning to do that.
Now it is done!
What lesson did I learn today? A little more patience.
What am I grateful for today? We had rain in the morning but thankfully no more during the day.
My saying for today is …
