I was up and out of bed long before my alarm thought of screeching out her tinny ditty. I left Raafie to sleep on under the duvet while I had my Quiet Time out in the living area of our home.
I think I will leave my laptop down here while Paddy and Matt’ are here this weekend, because then I will not disturb their sleep by going up the creaking stairs in the wee hours of the morning to have my Quiet Time.
I made ever so many ‘phone calls this morning – back and forth – back and forth - trying to organize aids for Ken in case he may need them when he gets back home. Ken is insistent that he needs nothing, but he was grateful for the walker which I will borrow from Noel and Sandra for him, while he needs that support.
Poor Paddy, I asked him to pick up Ken’s gift from Erina Fair, but then because I had put down Paddy Morgan and his ID has his name down as James P. Morgan, they would not allow him to get it. So, I had to send them another email confirming that James P. Morgan IS Paddy! Then, and only then would they release it. Very frustrating for him but I guess they are just trying to do their job in making doubly sure that I had asked him to fetch it for me and that he was the right guy!
I paid for my ‘little blue bird of happiness’ car to be fixed – and thankfully it was NOT the head gasket but some expansion something-or-other! Wonderful! So, I still have wheels!
Early this morning, straight after my Quiet Time, I finished all the ironing, so again I am feeling angelic. It is such a nice feeling which soon wears off when I see what is in the washing basket! Hah! That’s life – so smile and wave … smile and wave. … and enjoy!
Today has been an odd sort of day – not knowing what it wants to do – sunshine or overcast – it bounced back and forth between those two options.
This morning, I also I sorted out the fridges and defrosted the one fridge at the back of the shed as it was pretty frozen and needed to be sorted out. Done. Tick. Tick. Tick. What a good girl I am – I am!
The chooks were delighted with the odd tomato and some lettuce leaves this morning. I really would love to get some more chooks so that we are supplying our own eggs here on the farm again. So nice to know that they truly are fresh.
Raafie has been very content snoozing in his little fluffy bed and watching me fluff around sweeping and tidying. I am sure it is at moments like those that he is so glad he is a canine and not a human woman!
Today I am feeling a whole lot better which then makes housework a whole lot easier– no tummy bug and my mouth is slowly healing so happiness edges my days.
What lesson did I learn today? To just get on with it and do what whatever is on my To Do List for the day, no matter how I feel.
What am I grateful for today? That I got a LOT done today.
My saying for today is …
