Another late start to my day this morning, but too not bad. I hate getting up late as that throws my plans out for the day! Or I have to rush-rush-rush to get done what I had planned.
My plans for today are just more cleaning, tidying and a large pile of ironing has to be done, nog al!
I had my Quiet Time and am slowly working my way through the Book of Ezekiel and this morning I finished chapter 22. Whoo-hoo! Later, if I have time today, I will do a little more studying of Titus.
I had a lovely hot shower, and got myself dressed for the day.
Well, I did my normal scrub-a-dub-dub, sweeping, mopping cleaning, dusting blah-blah fish paste and then I thought what am I doing? What the heck, today is the weekend and so I set up my little BL (Busy Lizzie robot.) I cleaned her first and filled her with water and let her rip. What a magical little machine she is, and she just made her way around on the floor cleaning everything so nicely for me.
Yoh! This concrete powder is a bind to get rid of, but … it has helped me learn patience.
Busy Lizzie is inclined to get stuck on the rough edges in front of the roller shutter door, so I thought to help her I would remain in the room so I could lift her up when that should or could happen.
My next move was then to lie down on Paddy’s bed to watch her from a safe place where my feet were not in her way. (Hmm, are you sensing the slow progress?) Eventually – just to pass the time of course, I listened to podcasts, watched a few things on YouTube - before being struck by guilt! But … I had had a good rest just watching my dear little robot help me. Bless you Paddy for this marvelous little bit of machinery.
I then prepared a batch of Rocky Road so that it will be ready for when Mich’ comes next week, and then later when Paddy will be here.
Tonight, as I had a few sausages left from last night, I cooked them, then made mashed potatoes, butternut and peas with cream cheese on the peas.
What lesson did I learn today? To find the positives in every day.
What am I grateful for today? having a bit of a rest today.
My saying for today is …
