I got up at about a quarter to four this morning and was soon making my coffee and feeling maybe bushy tailed but not that bright … yet!
I went up to my studio to have my Quiet Time and do some Bible studying.
My goodness one can feel that change in the air in the early mornings. It is already becoming a little nippy. In fact, on a couple of the mornings I have put my little fan heater on my desk to warm me up. That is the same little heater we had for our first few winters here – do not ask me how we got through those days with only this little heater to warm us! It is a wee little heater and is still going strong – a good advert for Mistral as it is over twenty years old now. We had it in Coffs Harbour before moving to the farm.
This morning, I put Busy Lizzie to work again, hoping to eventually get rid of any sign of concrete powder, but for that to happen we still have a LONG way to go!
I did three loads of washing and had to soak my pair of white longs as a new black and white top of mine was damp in the wash basket and the black rom it bled all over my nice white longs! Ngrrr! But … after soaking them in a special whitewashing powder, giving them a good scrub and they have come up a brilliant white again!
While my Busy Lizzie mop robot was doing the work for me, I swept, used the blower, and mopped of our living area.
Then I waved a fond farewell to my man as he headed off to his appointment for his hearing aid checkup in Port Macquarie.
As Ken was out for most of the day, I saw my opportunity to attack our bedroom seriously! I dusted and used the blower, swept, vacuumed, and mopped. Then I pulled out all the papers, magazines, books, notepads et cetera that Ken had filed all over the floor (where nobody but he could see any order!) and I filed them neatly or threw them out. I can now see the floor which is rather exciting, and I am sure he will be pleased too.
While I was busy in our bedroom, I went through all my shoes, cleaned those that needed cleaning, and put them back on clean, wiped shelves in the cupboard and I threw those old ones I no longer can wear out. Marvelous!
The other day I ordered a few items of South African food stuffs and I am so excited as I think they have arrived already! Ken said he would pick the parcel up on his way home late in the afternoon today.
And yes~! It was them!
Tonight, for our supper I think I will just grill steaks and make some hot chips. I am out of frozen veggies now and will get more tomorrow. In the end we did not eat as neither of us were hungry tonight.
Oh rats! Several of my friends have let me know that my Facebook account has been hacked again.! R-e-a-l-l-y! How can anyone get enjoyment out of causing hassles for others? Plus, I know diddley squat of what one does to correct that problem!
What lesson did I learn today? To work through my To Do List steadily until I have completed all the tasks I had set for the day.
What am I grateful for today? An extremely tidy bedroom!
My saying for today is …
